# Embracing Change: From Sacred Body Somatics to Inner Sense Somatics


A Journey of Transformation


Perhaps some of you noticed a change?


Sacred Body Somatics is now… Inner Sense Somatics.


This change came from an embodied sense—a feeling. It literally came from how it made my body feel.


I initially settled on “Sacred Body” because of my passion for bringing the work of reclaiming our bodies as sacred into the world through somatics. My goal is to create safety and support for individuals to connect more deeply with the innate wisdom of their bodies. I want each person to feel heard, validated, and held as integral and essential in this world. It is a privilege to witness their perfection in simply being who they are in each moment.


It's a beautiful thing, and I am grateful to do this work.

Yet, Inner Sense Somatics lingered with me. Like the soft, sweet essence of a rose, it stirred my heart and softened my body each time I contemplated it.


Inner Sense is a play on words. It speaks directly to what this work is about. It’s about uncovering your Inner Sense, your innocence. This is not in a naïve or childish way, but with childlike wonder. It’s about gently stripping back the layers—the conditioning, the expectations—and discovering who you are beneath how the world told you that you should be.


So here it is: Inner Sense Somatics. A name that reflects the heart of this work.


The Essence of Inner Sense Somatics


I am a somatic educator, a nervous system-informed, trauma-aware practitioner, and someone deeply passionate about sustainability. This passion extends to our bodies, our relationships, our communities, and our Earth.


It would be an honour to hold space for you and guide you with somatic practices. Together, we will explore how to come into a deeper relationship with yourself. You will learn to build inner trust and know yourself from a grounded, embodied place.


The Importance of Somatic Practices


Somatic practices are essential for reconnecting with our bodies. They allow us to tune into our physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts. This connection fosters a sense of safety and resilience.


In today’s fast-paced world, we often forget to listen to our bodies. We become disconnected from our feelings and needs. Somatic practices help us to slow down and cultivate awareness. By doing so, we can navigate life with more ease and grace.


Connecting with Your Body


Connecting with your body is a journey. It requires patience and gentleness. Through breath, touch, sound, and movement, we explore together. You will learn to listen within. To feel what stirs.


This process is about more than just physical sensations. It’s about understanding your emotions and thoughts. It’s about recognizing the stories your body tells you. Each sensation is a message, a guide.


Building Inner Trust


Building inner trust is crucial for personal growth. When you trust yourself, you can make decisions that align with your true self. You become more resilient in the face of challenges.


Somatic practices support this journey. They help you to cultivate a sense of safety within your body. This internal safety allows you to explore your feelings without fear. You learn to embrace your emotions, both positive and negative.

As you engage in somatic practices, you begin to uncover your authentic self. You peel back the layers of conditioning and societal expectations. This journey is about self-discovery.


You will learn to appreciate your uniqueness. You will celebrate your strengths and acknowledge your vulnerabilities. Embracing your authentic self is a powerful step towards empowerment.
